Palo Santo Incense - Sticks

Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) is a tree native to Peru, Ecuador, it grows in dry tropical forests and produces very fragrant resin. In Spanish, Palo Santo means “holy wood.”

Palo Santo has been used by indigenous peoples for centuries, it has been used during ceremonies to clear the aura and to heal from negative influences. The wood, resin, and oil have been used for medicinal purposes to treat pain and stress. Incense forms are a great ally with its Spiritual Scent.

The wood from the tree is light yellow in colour and should only be harvested when the tree has fallen (this is not always enforced by local authorities).

Many Palo Santo products on the market are not what they seem . . . Palo Santo has now become so popular that there are False Palo Santo being sold to obviously make more money on the back of its popularity, they take cheap Pine sticks then soak them in cheap poor quality Palo Santo Oils until the wood takes on the yellow colour, it is then dried and sold as “Genuine Palo Santo” BUT IT IS JUST A RIP OFF.
